Editors Choice Awards and Other New Features

once in a while we lift up our heads, see the rising sun, and decide it may be a good time to inform you, the people, of what has been happening behind the scenes as we continue to grow the platform.
First and foremost, there is the introduction of the Consent Manager. We at personly recognize the value of advertising in reaching new audiences, and although we were advertising for a while, we resisted tracking users via third party cookies without implementing a proper cookie Consent Manager. Now that the Consent Manager has been implemented, third party cookie tracking has been implemented in a way that allows you to completely opt out of it in accordance with the law.
Some of the personals being written here are truly outstanding. In order to motive people to continue to write such great personals, personly is beginning to implement an awards system. When a personal is selected for an award, the user will receive an email notifying them that one of their personals has been selected. The only catch is that we are still figuring out what the award should be! Most likely it will be in the form of a redeemable coupon. The coupon will be either more tokens to use on the platform, or a discount percentage to use when purchasing more tokens. We anticipate that this feature will be completed soon as the selection and notification process is already completed.
We continue to expand the communication platforms to which we beam out public personals, with Bluesky, Telegram and Facebook now joining the list of social providers that display our personals. You can view the full list in the recently revamped Imprint/Impressum section of the main website. Speaking of the main website, there is now a dedicated Knowledge Base to help find instructions about how various important features of the platform work.
In the user area, the organization logic was completely revamped to include support for adding an address to an organization, support to make a personal as an organization or not, and viewing of rejected organizations as well as notification of rejection. Also, the navigation within the user area has been revamped to feature a left menu which simplifies navigation. Also, coachmarks are now workflows and are integrated in a much more understandable fashion.
Another consequential change is that the matching system now supports matching a specific gender to anyone, or anyone to a specific gender. This functionality is quite useful for organizations looking to provide specifically targeted personals, however users making regular personals should also be able to leverage this new flexibility in the system.
Thanks so much for continuing to support us in our quest to modernize the personals experience and stay tuned for more updates!
